The University of Luxembourg is looking for its Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication for a
Junior researcher (PhD-Student )in Engineering Science (F/M)

• 2-year fixed term contract, extension of further 2 years, 40h a week
• Employee AND student status

The PhD-student will work under the guidance of a professor on a research theme but will also assist in teaching to a certain extent. She/he should finish the work with a doctoral degree in engineering science.

Mission:

• Optimisation of wastewater treatment plants (energy, process)
• Behaviour of nanoparticles in wastewater treatment plants

Profile:

• Diploma or Master-degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical or Process Engineering or an equivalent engineer degree
• Profound knowledge in Urban Water Engineering
• Willingness to inscribe as PhD-student at UL
• Basic competence in simulation tools is an advantag
• Driving licence for cars
• Language: English and German or French
